Relax, Costa and Fiesta

The Costa del Sol is known for its wide and beautiful sandy beaches. Don’t forget to visit one of the local beach bars or Chiringuitos ; they are the perfect place to relax and enjoy a good meal. You can find the Espetas , or sadines as a local specialty, grilled on the BBQ of fragrant olive wood. Delicous!!!!!

From our B&B you’re only 25 minutes away from the beaches of Torre Del Mar with its beautiful promenade.

El Morche is situated west of Torrox Costa . The beach shows the blue EU flag, is 1200 meter long, about 40 meter wide and very popular in summer. Its promenade is parallel to the N-340 coastal road and you can find many bars to have a drink or enjoy a meal. The diving centre is just behind the promenade.

img10Nerja is listed in the top 10 of touristic guides of Andalusia. The Balcón de Europa is a terrace high above the sea and offers views  as far as Morocco. Another way to visit the town is by carriage. Nerja offers 9 km of beaches; from wide sandy beaches to intimate bays between cliffs. Enjoy the Costa del Sol at its best away from mass tourism. At the beach you can practise many sports like diving, canoeing, surfing, waterbike, beach volley etc.

Burriana beach, or Playa Burriana, is a wide sandy beach east of town and the largest in Nerja. The beach has the blue flag and the Spanish Q(quality) label. The place to be that offers everything you can expect from the Costas.

To the Right of the Balcón de Europa, close to the city centre, hidden in the bay you can find  Calahonda beach. You can get there going down via a path winding down to the sea. It is a small beach.

Maro beach is a few miles east of Nerja on the N-340 nearby Maro, a suburb of Nerja. A Moorish tower overseas the cliffs and sea. The water is crystal clear and excellent for diving or snorkeling. From Burriana Beach cano trips are organised towards this beach.

Shop till you drop

But don’t forget the local artisanal shops to remind you, when back home, of that wonderful holiday at the Costa del Sol.

Ferias en Fiesta!..

img10The Village Saint is honoured, women stroll through the streets showing their beautiful and colourful flamenco dresses and caballeros show off on their horses. It is time for the annual Feria. Join in till late in the night and let the Spanish spirit guide you. Nearly every month you will find processions. Smell the myrrh and listen to the melancholic music. It is a unique experience to participate in one of these and a special tradition. More particularly the processions of the Semana Santa, the week before Easter will astonish you. Various brotherhoods from all over town gather in the city centre and carry heavy statues of their Saints , beautifully decorated.
